...nailpolish is an obsession...

i posted a few times that i was in love with chanels new nail polishes. in particular i love, love, love the color 'particuliere'. well-- i decided i did not want to spend $30 on nail polish in this current economy and went on a hunt. five stores later i found it... that was almost 3 weeks ago... so to my amusement i was thrilled that style.com was 3 weeks behind my ultimate find. i am on top of my game...

( this nailpolish is fantastic. the color gray is brillant and it lasts for days upon days. i recommend it for those of you who are 'chic' on a budget)

--hair is more important than....

this is my next haircut-- i love the really heavy bang and i think these layers are divine-- i normally have bangs but this is another level of hair-liciousness...

as you can tell i have been bouncing around a few different hair ideas (fyi: check out the jean seberg editorial i posted if i decide to go with the pixie)

--flapper anthem, antoinette, and 19th century headwear--

the turban is coming back with a big bang. if you look throughout fashion history you notice that various forms of the turban have been worn amongst different cultures. roman women wrapped their heads with beautiful fabric and braids. marie antoinette and her court donned lavish turbans with layers of silks, satin, and diamonds. women of the 1800's , those who were high society and fashion forward, would wear full or side formed turbans and add dyed ostrich feathers. the famous flappers of the 1920's modernized the turban, creating it out of cheaper fabrics and wearing it with short curls and short dresses. now... major fashion labels are bringing back this extreme look in a new and dramatic way...
